Jamie Phillips, LPC,NCC - Owner/Chief Clinician, Director of Internship Student Program

Jamie specializes in anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, and grief. She founded Open Hearts Counseling LLC in honor of her father's open heart surgery and her deep commitment to supporting others through life's challenges. Jamie is passionate about helping clients rebuild their story, find strength in difficult moments, and move toward healing and growth.

Robert Simmons - Office Manager

Robert manages scheduling and client coordination for individuals who walk through the doors of Open Hearts Counseling. He is known for his warm and welcoming presence and works hard to ensure each client feels supported and cared for from the moment they arrive.

Connor Feyen, LLPC - Assistant Director of Internship Student Programs

Connor specializes in supporting clients experiencing grief, anxiety, depression, and stress. His approach is person centered, humanistic, and rooted in mindfulness. Connor is dedicated to helping clients better understand themselves, develop effective coping skills, and move toward greater emotional wellbeing.

Ally Weglarz - Counseling Intern

Ally is a counseling intern at Oakland University who values the power of authentic human connection. She provides a supportive space where clients can explore their experiences, discover their inner strengths, and work toward healing, growth, and meaningful change.

Zoe Smigels - Counseling Intern

Zoe is a counseling intern at Northwestern University in the Child and Adolescent track. She works with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, family conflict, and substance use related concerns. Zoe is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and takes a warm, person centered, and collaborative approach to supporting clients.
